aluplast’s late entry into the Energy Efficiency Zone at Glassex 2007 proved to be both important and rewarding for the PVC-U systems specialist. “We feel the Window Energy Rating Scheme to be an important development for our industry and wanted to demonstrate our commitment to the scheme and our support for Edgetech’s promotion of the scheme in general and the campaign for reduced VAT in particular” said aluplast Technical Manager Mark Barsby.
“We were very pleased with our showing at Glassex 2007 and with the interest shown by visitors in our Ideal 70 window system with its outstanding energy performance” continued Mark “We were also pleased to contribute to the Energy Efficiency Forum where our presentations on the practicalities of window energy rating were very well attended and sparked some lively debate among exhibitors and visitors.”
aluplast exhibited together with leading trade fabricator Rapid Frame who achieved the industry’s first really practical double glazed ‘A’ rated window using the aluplast Ideal 70 window and door system. “The Window Energy Rating applies to a specific window type including the glazing and therefore cannot be achieved by a window system alone” continued Mark Barsby “We were delighted to help Rapid Frame achieve the ‘A’ rating for their ‘Formula One Energy Rated ‘A’ window using our products so it seemed only natural to have Rapid Frame at the show alongside us”
